Review
I use Tibetan singing bowls in my practice and have found them to have profound effects on my patients. I applaud Mr. Shrestha for bringing forth and sharing such valuable information with the public, especially in this how-to format that is rarely seen in books of this nature. (I use Tibetan singing bowls)

Suren Shrestha is an engaging and experienced instructor. He clearly relates the methodology that he learned from his teachers in Nepal. His sincerity and desire to see that his students can both comprehend and capably practice these techniques is very apparent in his work. The effects of experiencing sessions with the tuned chakra bowls are truly phenomenal. The resonance patterns created by the bowl placements have their impact on our physical and finer bodies. This is truly a technique that can be incorporated into other alternative healing modalities and, even more importantly, it is a technique that can stand on its own to create positive changes in clients and ourselves. Thank you Suren for bringing this Ancient Wisdom to the West and sharing it with us!

To experience vibrational healing with Himalyan singing bowls through Suren Shrestha, is to connect deeply with a profound yet simple remembrance of ourselves as elemental Souls. He teaches the how-to's, but more importantly, he teaches by example that the path of healing is a journey of humility, generosity, joy, and love.
--Guru Bachan Kaur / Donna Wong, Student

I use the Tibetan Singing Bowls in my practice and found them to have profound effects on my patients. The bowls have an amazing ability to counteract and dissolve the harmful effects stress has on the body, almost instantaneously. The bowls also help individuals connect to their higher awareness and facilitate healing at a very deep level.

I applaud Mr. Shrestha for bringing forth and sharing such valuable information with the public, especially in this “how to” format that is rarely seen in books of this nature.
--Dr. Jacob Hans, Chiropractor

The seven circuit labyrinth is a 5,000 year old walking meditation used by ancient peoples to clear, purify, and balance the mind, body, and spirit, within the Allness of Creation. Each pathway relates to a specific part of our human nature, (i.e. mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, "Great Spirit", vision, manifestation and rest/meditation at the goal or center); a specific chakra color; and a specific tone.

To enhance and heighten the labyrinth experience, singing bowls with the commensurate chakra tone may be placed at each turn and struck by the walker before entering and when leaving each respective pathway. Another method would be to position "bowl keepers" at the top and sides of the labyrinth toning the bowls with the appropriate chakra note, or, toning the C, E, and G notes to form a pleasant chord surrounding the walker.

I have found the singing bowls to be a wonderful addition to my healing practice. I feel so very blessed to have learned from Suren…a man who has embraced his heritage and ancient teachings. Sound has no barriers. It transcends the duality of the form and formless and allows both the practitioner and the patient to resonate with the oneness of our creator. As the scripture says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word is GOD” The AHHH of god has been chanted using many names, GOD, ALLAH, BUDDHA, KRISHNA, RA….these sounds, much like the sounds of the singing bowls reconnect us to our divine and allow miracles to happen. I often use the bowls in my chiropractic practice when a patient’s wall of defense is so thick, that sound is the only thing that can penetrate and resonate with the essence of who they really are. With the learned mind I have accumulated much knowledge of diagnosis and yet what we are really up to as healers is reconnecting people to their source and it is that which does the healing. The singing bowls allow the body to remember the perfection of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies and allow them to reunite in conversation. I highly recommend the use of the singing bowls as a healing modality.

Suren Shrestha has brought to the western world a thorough understanding of the application of Traditional Tibetan Healing Methods with Singing Bowls…a true treasure source for balanced living in a contemporary society.
--Marianne Denniston, Interior Designer and Vastu Design Professional

The singing bowls and your training have bought a new and more energetic dimension to my acupuncture practice. The effect is often an awakening for patients, like a moment of seeing the meaning of their life reflected in a pond. Their outlook on life is refreshed and decisions come more easily that meaningfully change both their future lives and the past. In my practice, this opens more conversation with my patients about what is truly healing and what being attentive to loving will do for them.

This treatment is equivalent to a massage of sound and vibration. This healing practice is especially successful with people who do not like to be touched or those who do not have a meditation practice.

This method of healing with the Himalayan bowls appears to work as does acupuncture in that it can align the chakras or meridians by unblocking congestion. The harmonic notes emanating from these scared metals correspond to the different chakras. I have found that using a single bowl that resonates with a specific individuals’ vibration can lead to a customized healing experience. I have also used these healing bowls for treatment of a severe migraine with a client who could not relax. The pain subsided completely within a 30 minute session.

I feel blessed to have this "healing tool" to incorporate as a modality in my Holistic Nursing Practice.

About the Author
Suren Shrestha Suren Shrestha was born in Nepal, forty-five miles southeast of Mt. Everest. In the village where he grew up, people were healed by herbalists, monks and medicine men using shamans' drums, gongs, and mantras. At age fifteen, he came to the United States, later attended college, and received a B.S. in Civil Engineering. In 1999, he began his own business, Serenity Tibet, in Boulder, Colorado, where he lives with his wife and daughter. Noting the growing interest in alternative medicine in the US, Suren returned to Nepal to learn how to practice ancient healing techniques that use sound and vibration. He was taught these by Tibetan monks and the yogi Tahalkishor Maharaj. Suren has given workshops and assisted clients with healing bowl work in the Rocky Mountain region and all over the United States. He is raising funds through his teaching to build an orphanage for the homeless children in his native village.

The book I have been waiting for.
By Eleanor Berg
Today I received my copy of How to Heal with Singing Bowls. I didn't expect a CD to be included. That's a bonus and an excellent one too. I went at once and listened to the CD. It is a practical guide, step by step and easily followed. After an initial listening I gathered my five bowls and tried to follow along. As I had to determine their tuning this was only partially successful. I have now worked out their tuning. I really need two more bowls to complete the range that is desirable, but explanations are given how to work with just one bowl. Also the care of the bowls is explained and how to work with them to achieve best results. This is a very clear, comprehensive and practical text, with good photos and illutrations. I am delighted with the book and thank Suren Shrestha and everyone involved in bringing about this text. I expect to find great benefit and hope to help others benefit using with the methods described so well. The bowls themselves, so individual, are a joy to hold and hear. I am now going to order another copy for family members far away.

Healing From a True Tibetan
By 0017
What a wonderful Book ! Informative and inspirational ! Suren shares not only his vast knowledge of vibrational healing but his own personal spiritual journey.
The study and practice of the Tibetan Singing bowls is a journey anyone can take and all who take it will benefit. I have incorporated many of Surens practices into my healing practice and all my clients LOVE it ! With all of the stress in the world it is so nice to be able to provide a well practiced method of bowl placement as well as the encouragement to venture outside of traditional placement and listen to your inner guidance. You cannot go wrong with this book. You will feel great and so will those around you ! Blessings !

very precise instructions - the perfect fit for me
By John G
Although the author points out (as do my mentors) that intention and what your inner voice is telling you is the most important aspect of spiritual/energy healing, i still feel a need to learn a particular method. I'm especially drawn to the Tibetan methods handed down over the years - this book is perfect for that.

It offers very specific instructions - the bowl to play, how long to wait until playing the next bowl, placement, etc. for your specific purpose.

NOTE: the Kindle version has no accompanying audio - so I recommend getting the "real" version that comes with the CD
